PC won't restart properly.

Hi,
I bought a new CPU this week-i5 4690k and after install all was fine.However 4 days later something strange happened.

When I press restart on my PC (Win 10) it goes through the restart process but just when it should restart and the BIOS screen should appear,it just stays black.It shuts down and starts ok,although I noticed a slight slowdown in start-up speed.

I have tried reseating GPU (MSI Gaming GTX 980)RAM (1 8GB Crucial)CPU (i5 4690k) and reset CMOS.Could my Motherboard have been slightly damaged when installing the CPU? It is a Gigabyte H81M-H.I know it is not really great for this rig-I am buying a Z97 this week-not sure which yet-one of the lower end ones...maybe the ASUS z97- K.

Hope someone can help.Thanks a lot.

Check the connection between your front panel Power SW and Reset SW to the motherboard, as well as the rest of those connectors. They look like this:

That never occurred to me-they could have gotten knocked loose when I was installing CPU.I'll have a look and let you know.Thanks a lot :)
