I built this PC years ago it works find normally but for some reason when the printer is plugged in, the PC won't connect with the monitor on startup. Both the printer and the PC function normally otherwise. If I plug in the printer after startup it works fine. What could be a possible explanation for this, did I plug in the power headers wrong or something?

Update your post to include full system hardware specs and OS information.

Include PSU: make, model, wattage, age, condition?

And the problem just started - correct?

Make and model printer - how connected?

Make and model monitor - how connected?

One immediate thing you can do:

Power down, unplug, open the case.

Clean out dust and debris.

Ensure by sight and feel that all cards, connectors, RAM, and jumpers are fully and firmly in place. Check all power, audio, video, and network cables as well.
