I've made a thread about this already, however the problem is different. I've recently replaced my HDD thinking that was why my PC would not start up when connected. However, upon me connected the HDD to the PSU and MOBO it would not turn on? I feel like the problem could either be my PSU or the MOBO. So all I ask is for suggestions as to what the problem may be because PC will only start with HDD not connected.

Update: Tested HDD with friend and it works on his rig. However, upon installing it onto mine it won't work? Is it my PSU or MOBO?

Solution
could be a misswired sata power cable. the mb or power supply is seeing a dead short. or the other hard drive and power supply has shorted the mb and there damaged chips on the mb.

So my MOBO is damaged? That means I should replace it then?
