Built my second Pc today and loaded it up for the first time. On my first attempt it worked fine and got into windows. I played around with my new system and played a few games. I eventually loaded up CS:GO and had a round. Part way through my second round my pc turned off. It was as if there was a power cut. I turned my computer off and a few LEDs stay lit up on the mother board. I have a fan test on my psu and the fans work too. I have tried unplugging and leaving it for half an hour but upon plugging it back in it still wont turn on. My mobo has a power button on it and I have been using that as well as the power button on the front of the case. I have tried unplugging all my parts one by one to see if any of those wont work. I have tried using other psu cables and that hasnt made a difference. when I try and turn it on absolutely nothing happens. The mobo leds stay lit but no fan movement of front leds. I have checked to ensure all cables are properly connected and they are all fine

CMOS battery is between 2 GPU slots, under big white MSI letters. You can see it on this picture http://www.msi.com/media/product/five_pictures1_3505_2015071718593955a8e01b78dff.png62405b38c58fe0f07fcef2367d8a9ba1/600.png

Big, shiny metal circle thing :D

Also check with your eyes those circle thingies above and to the left side of your CPU and other parts of your mobo, see if all of them are flat, none of them should have curve(bloated) on top of them... If everything is fine including PSU then power circuits on mobo could be damaged so...

Did you install your cpu properly on your mobo? Check for the cpu temperatures under load and see if they go above C60, if they do reapply thermal paste and make sure you removed the plastic layer from your mobo where cpu goes and also check if cpu had any plastic on it... Sometimes people forget to remove those and this happens

Edit: nevermind I didn't see the part that your pc doesn't want to turn on at all anymore. Get this to check if your psu functions normally http://www.ebay.com/itm/LED-20-24-Pin-PSU-ATX-SATA-HDD-Power-Supply-Tester-Checker-Meter-PC-Computer-S3-/381372364412?hash=item58cb90767c if all leds turns up then it's ok. Second thing could be that your motherboard got fried, remove your cmos battery leave it out for a minute or two and plug it back in, you can try that aswell.

Thanks for your advice, I have a psu tester kit on the way right now. My initial thought was that the mobo is dead as the psu has a fan tester and it will power my case fans when everything else is not plugged in. Is there any way of testing your mobo? With my model i'm not sure how to remove the cmos battery and I cant seem to find much info on it either.

Appreciate your help though.
