PC won't startup

I was playing a game when all of a sudden my pc randomly restarted. However, it stayed on a black screen. It won't let me shut down by holding the power button so the only way is the turn the power supply off. I opened the case and everything seemed to be working fine (Don't know if CPU is though). Any suggestions?

Your old 80286 probably gave up the ghost.
