Question PC won't stay on

I recently been having a problem. My PC shut off one day and when I hit the power again all the lights blinked. If I hold it down they'll stay on longer but shut off as soon as the rams lights up. I bought a new psu to no avail.

Old psu was an off brand 600 watt 80+ gold
My new psu is and Corsair cx750f 750 watt 80+bronze
I'm running a 2080super, i5-9600k, 2 hdds,
About 6 case fans, 2sticks of skill rgb ram and 2 monitors.
Asus prime z390-p atx mother board.

I had it on for a couple hours last night, but went to put it in sleep mode and now it's doing the same thing.

Once I disconnect the 8 pin e atx cable the computer will stay on. But as soon as I plug it back in it shuts off.

According to your last sentence, bad VRM is strong possibility.
