PC wont turn on at all

hi my pc is plugged in totally the 24 pin the tax 12v and my thermaltake 3.0 extreme is installed properly. its a i7 4790k and the gpu is a gigabyte gtx 980. everything is all plugged in and i plug the power cable in and switch my psu on (corsair m1000) and my motherboard (gigabyte Z97X-GA-z97X-SOC) has the little orange power button is lighting up. as soon as i try to boot. nothing happens and it just sits there. so i tried shorting it with screwdriver.... didnt work either.... Please help this cost 2700 dollars... Ps. im 15

You need to update the BIOS to F6 version ( or F5 is OK too) to use the i7 4790K, here is the support list: http://www.gigabyte.com/support-downloads/cpu-support-popup.aspx?pid=4949

1) You can talk to the seller ( if it is the local shop ) to see they can update the BIOS for you or not.
2) Buy other lower price cpu to update the BIOS, or borrow one from friend.
3) Return the MB, get the asus brand, because asus MB can update the BIOS using USB flashback.
