Pc won't turn on however my gpu light is on

I just finished assembling my pc and the lights ob my 1070 turn on to show power however the computer won't turn on I've tried starting it with a screwdriver, that didn't work, I have a new power supply and a new motherboard and a new cpu. Considering taking it to a pc shop but I want to save £50. Thanks

Well first we would have to know the specs of your system to pinpoint where the problem is coming from.

OK I know this could be annoying, but we have to start with the simple things, instead of asking you 1 by 1, I'll just ask you all at once.
1) Is the 8 Pin CPU cord plugged into the socket at the top left of the motherboard, same goes with all of the other connections. Also make sure that they are fully plugged in.
2) Is the RAM fully seated in the slots, I ask this because that was what was wrong with my build and was a really simple fix.
3) Make sure that the MB standoffs are not installed where they are not being used as they could cause a short in the motherboard.
4) Do you have any way of testing the power supply as it could be defective?

Motherboard standoffs are the preinstalled in the case in which you rest your mothreboard on when building the PC. I doubt that this is it but it never hurts to check, and I'd wait to do that last. Also, you could try to take out and reseat all of your cables in the motherboard, and check your front panel cables.

So I just checked are they like small screws, I'm missing 1 of them if it's what I'm talking about

Other threads around the internet say that they just unplugged and replugged their motherboard cables in so i really suggest doing that. If not then lets hope a more experienced person comes to save the day.

Im sorry I wasnt of much help. I know how it feels, I didnt know what was wrong with my new PC for a whole month until yesterday. I hope things turn out for the better.

Hello, I currently have an asus h110m-cd3 board with an i5 6700k processor and a nvidia 1070 oc white with 2 sticks of newly bought corsair x2 8gb ram at 1600mhz with a corsair vs650 psu. So the boards bios is rev 1.03 and I had a problem where if I had no ram sticks in there would be a beep code of one long beep and 2 short; which means that there's no memory detected and when I put it in there is no beeps and apparently I need to update my bios, I was wondering how and so I need to spend any money or can't I update it to make it work?? Thank you for reading this I hope you guys can help

if you put in the ram and there is no beeps, what is the issue?
and you said new ram, what happen to the old ram?

You mean the cpu is not supported on the mobo, return it or take it back to the shop and have them update the bios

1)same thing happened because the mobo bios not support the cpu until it get upgrade.

Do I need to buy a new mobo??and sorry I didn't mean to mate. Also do I get them to send me a chip or do I need to send I back because I got it from amazon
