I have an older system (coincidentally the new one is being delivered today). Nothing was moved or installed.

I set it to sleep last night. When I went to it today my LED lights on my keyboard were on, which has never happened unless on of my cats woke my PC. However, no fan noise or sound of it being on, which is the case when they wake it. Keyboard strokes and mouse clicks did nothing to wake it.

I held the power button down to power it off to restart but it would not restart. Nothing. I flipped the power switch, unplugged the power supply, took the battery out, trued to start and nothing. The light is on on the motherboard. Pressing the power button does nothing.

Thanks for any help in advance. Sorry if it's a common question, but searching I found a lot of questions regarding a new build, post installing a new component, or moving the PC. Mine was stationary, not a new build, and worked fine last night before I set it to sleep.

Solution
if it does not start up then do a full rebuild check on all cable and parts use minimal components for the test also the date and time where the current one when system was working if you have a spare bios battery would give it a try .
I'm having trouble finding the two pins I searched for images and what not but nothing seems to look like what I have. Maybe because it's old? It's an asus m4a88td-v evo/usb3

Edit: Found it. I tried a screwdriver and nothing happened. Tried something else thinking the coating on the tip of my screwdriver was stopping it from connecting. Nothing there either.

What now?
