Just built a new PC and nothing happens when I press on the on button.

Checked all cables, reinserted them, tried different wall sockets and also tried the power cable on another PC and also did the paperclip test. Fan does turn on with the paperclip which isn't great because I think I'd rather a faulty psu than something I can't diagnose!

No idea what to do next. There was a brief moment the rgb light on the cooler fan turned on just after I pressed on the switch which was interesting. Looked like it was trying to start but there's definitely no activity inside the psu or elsewhere on the PC.

Any help would be very much appreciated!

Success! I started testing all the cables and for some odd reason one of my sata power cables wasnt working. As soon as I disconnected the SSD and used another cable it all turned on fine. Bit of an odd one! But thanks very much for the replies.

That was supposed to be the easy bit and it took me 6 hours to fix! :-( but onwards to OS and OCing!
