Question PC won't turn on

So I have a 3 pin clr cmos. Pin 1 and 2 are normal, while pins 2 and 3 are clear. I put the jumper on pins 2 and 3 to clear. This is where I think I made a mistake: I removed the jumper and my pc turned on. I waited 10 seconds and then I turned it off. I moved the jumper back to pins 1 and 2, which is normal. Then I tried to turn on my PC again and no response. Any solutions? I have very little knowledge or computers, so a basic step by step would be much appreciated. Thanks again.

Try again, this time power cord unplugged (normal procedure to clear the CMOS).

Thanks for responding. I cleared the cmos this time with the power cord unplugged. After plugging back in the power cord, my fans and lights etc turn on now thankfully. However, the Clr cmos indicator is still lit up on my computer and I have the A2 error code showing. So basically, I cleared cmos but its still saying I have to do it again. No display either. Any ideas?
