I went to use my PC this morning and came across a problem where it would not wake up from sleep mode. I tried to power off the machine but holding down the power button does nothing either. Even when I pull the power from my surge protector and then plug it back in the pc does not visually boot.

All signs point to a MoBo failure but wanted to get some opinions first.

The PC is a Lenovo K450e i5 with a corsair 850w PSU, GeForce 950 GTX and 24GB RAM running Windows 10

I suggest unplugging the computer completely and holding the power button for 30 seconds, then re plug everything and make sure the monitor cable is properly plugged in, and then try it, if it still doesn`t work then I would take out the CMOS battery from the motherboard for 2-3 minutes and reseat the ram. Let me know if that works

Thanks, I'll try that when I get home from work and let you know how it goes.

Thanks guys, didn't need to mess with the CMOS. Did the unplug and hold down power button for 30s and it booted right up. Not sure what the issue was.
