Question PC won't work with both ram sticks

So my PC will boot with one stick but when I add the second stick it won't work.

My parts list is

AMD Ryzen 3 2200g
MSI B450 Gaming Plus Motherboard
EVGA Geforce GTX 1050 3 GB SC GAMING Video Card
G.Skill Ripjaw 4 series 16gb (2x8gb) DDR4-2400
Cooler Master Masterwatt 550w 80+ Bronze Power Supply

Any help is greatly appreciated

What slot do you install the second in black or red? Make sure they are in the same color slots. I suggest switching the ram sticks see if the other boots. Unless you tried that already.

I installed it in the other red slot. I've tried both individually and they boot but just not together

Does it run with each stick individually?

Could be that the other stick is faulty and the kit should be RMA'd

Sorry for asking a question you'd already answered.

I'd suggest making sure your mobo BIOS is on the latest version. CPUz is a handy program that will tell you the BIOS version your mobo is currently running.

Where is a BIOS update 7C02v15 released on 2019-01-29 it states inproved memory compatibility in the description. Yes I know it has nice information on what ram hmm?

Are you over clocking the ram? If so lower it see what happens.
