So im pretty to new to pc building but I've been assembling this gaming pc and all the parts are absolutely brand new. My specs are:

Case: Corsair Carbide Series 200r Mobo: Asus z97 Pro (Wi fi ac) CPU: Intel i7 4790K CPU Cooler: Cm Hyper 212 Evo Ram: Crucial Ballistix 8GB SSD: Crucial MX200 250GB HDD: Western Digital Blue 1 TB PSU: XFX TS 750 Watt 80+ Bronze GPU: Geforce GTX 980 Ti ODD: Samsung 24x SATA

So as you can tell I spent quite a bit of money on the whole setup and I plugged everything in right. The SATA cables into the Mobo and the psu plugged into the ATX 24 pin and CPU power. The only thing i'm rather concerned with is the cooler as I took it off the cpu after it spread the thermal paste and put it back on. (Which I probably shouldn't have done.) It's wobbly now even after tightening it. I checked to make sure none of it got in the mobo but it looked like it didn't. I have no clue what I did wrong but am worrying I screwed something up because the thing won't turn on. When I power up the power supply the little red power button on the mobo lights up but when I press it (It should power everything up) nothing happens. Heres what it looks like: file:///Users/ryan/Desktop/IMG_0793.JPG /Users/ryan/Desktop/IMG_0792.JPG /Users/ryan/Desktop/IMG_0794.JPG

Solution
First check you power switch to make sure it is hooked up correctly. no big deal, everyone has done that before.

Otherwise, in times like this, when you haven't the foggiest idea what the problem is or where it lies, it's time to simplify. That means it's time to bench test/bread board. Take everything out and assemble only you needed components outside of case and on a static-free surface (I have a big piece of cardboard). CPU, mobo, PSU, single RAM stick. You don't necessarily even need the cooler since it will be in open air and won't be on for more than a couple minutes at a time. Test both RAM sticks individually if that's a 2x4 kit. Add components one at a time until you reach the point where it doesn't boot.

Solution

I dented the cooler slightly on the bottom, It was really irritating to install the bracket and everything with the cooler so I might just take off the cm hyper 212 evo and Install the stock cpu cooler.
