Hi guys, so I went into my Nvidia control panel to look for "update drivers" to update my phys-x drivers, and I saw that my SLI was disabled, so when I enabled the function the screen went blank as if there was no cable connected to the display!

After a while, i decided to restart the pc and see if maybe the problem would revert, but no luck! I can login as per normal into windows but the screen just gives me the message "check signal cable" but all cables are properly secured!

So I did the following:
removed the SLI link on gfx cards, no luck
removed the 2nd gfx card , no luck
reset the cmos, no luck!

Now Im fresh out of ideas on what to do! please any help that can solve this problem would be appreciated!

Solution
okayso my problem is solved!! thank goodness! I took out my primary gfx card, and moved the secondary to the primary slot, removed one RAM stick, and removed the cmos battery, started it up again a few times, after it went into windows normally I gave up hope and restored everything to normal and viola! signal restored back to my screen and everything works fine again!

thanks alot for your assistance and time in helping me!

keep up the good work
Boot into safe mode and remove the GPU driver. then run a program to remove the remaining pieces. Nvidia gives a option in the driver install to do a clean install so this may work for you but Driver fusion will do the same if you want a separate program.

then reinstall the driver in normal windows. this will fix your issue.

during post press F8 or at least most motherboards its F8. It could be a different F* key. when you boot in to safe mode the driver is not launched and you will be able to see your screen.

your issue is driver related. if the driver does not launch there will be no issue.
safe mode only loads basic operations to allow limited use of the machine. very helpful for issues like this

okay Bgunner, so tried what you suggested i should do, but no luck, cant get into bios at all, tried the F8 and delete several times at startup but nothing happens.....

any other ideas i can try out please?
