[SOLVED] PC works fine on browser but can’t connect to game servers

My pc has been working perfectly for the past half year i’ve had it but about a week ago it started acting weird. i couldn’t connect do discord, rtc connecting and steam wasn’t connecting but i had perfect internet. i tried it on my laptop with the ethernet cable and it works fine. i’ve tried flushing dns, disabling my firewall, factory reset, and nothing works. please, help is appreciated.


edit : i have a z390-h and i use an ethernet connection

everything works perfectly except for the internet sort of, time is already adjusted.

Have you restarted your router recently?

yes, i resarted my router, and even called xfinity to see what they could do

Ive tried the ethernet cable on my laptop, and it works perfectly fine. Yes ive tried scanning for malware thru windos defender and malware bytes and theyre is not detections.

Do you have more than one account on the PC in question? Is this issue only affecting the single account?

If not sure, create a test account and see if it will connect. Trying to narrow down the issue.

just tried another account and it still doesnt work.

Try this, download a Linux live distro (see below for a couple to try) and write to a USB drive. Then, boot from the drive and see if you have any connectivity issues while using Linux.

Don't install Linux, just run the live version.
