PC100 memory at 133MHz FSB

I'm sure this is an easy question: what will happen if I run PC100 memory on a 133MHz FSB? Will it simply run slower (eg. taking 2 cycles to do what used to be 1) or will it keel over or will it erupt with the magic blue smoke?

Thanks!

You will in essence be overclocking your memory, trying to run it as PC133 memory. You may get lucky. It might work. If this is the case then your memory is high quality and could have been sold as PC133. This would be the exception however, and not the rule. More than likely you will end up with a system that either won't boot, or crashes frequently.

Many boards also allow you to run FSB and memory clock at a 4:3 ratio.
