PC133--Backwards Compatible?

Is PC133 backward compatible? Meaning I wish to use it on a MOB that only supports 100 Mhz FSB. I would, of course, run at 100Mhz FSB. I have any xtra stick of PC133 I would like to use on another PC I am throwing together. I don't see why it wouldn't but thought I would ask before installing everything and THEN finding out it does not work.

It is backward compatible, and I agree that I wouldn't mix it with a PC100 dimm. It may cause problems.

Would probably depend on motherboard and the memory involved as a general rule. I've heard of some timing incompatibilities and strange errors when mixing and matching, particularly with cheaper chipsets.

Wouldn't hurt anything, except maybe OS if crash happened at wrong point but nothing hardware at least.
