I recently heard that Intel is coming out with a chipset for PIIIs that support DDR. I would like to know if there will be any performance increase with DDR say PC2100 over PC133 RAM with a PIII that runs FSB of 133? Know this sounds simple but just want to verify before making any purchases. Thanks in advance.

No, they are not developing a DDR chipset. They are developing DDR for the P4 though. There are already chipsets available that support DDR on the P3- I know that VIA makes one (the Apollo Pro266). There's almost no performance increase.
