My 2005 era laptop uses a PC2700 DDr333 SODIMM (small outline dual in-line memory module). The largest capacity that I can find is 1GB. My laptop has only one SODIMM slot.

Is 1GB the limit for a PC2700 SODIMM design or are 2GB & 4GB just not made? Thanks!

I believe 1GB was the size limit for DDR. If I recall the largest I bought back then was 512MB sticks. (I think, one of the few systems I didn't actually keep, I know the following computer had 2GB of memory)

I was able to track down the specs for PC2700 SODIM modules. 1GB was the largest specified. No mention anywhere of 2GB or 4GB size. So I think the largest ever made were 1 GB. Case closed.
