PCB and watercooling

Hi, i own an EVGA 1070 FTW2 (08g-p4-6676-kr) and recently came into an EVGA 1080 HC (08gp4-6299-kr). i believe the 1080 is a FTW gaming. was wondering if the PCBs are the same or similar enough to transfer my EKWB waterblock from the 1070 to the 1080. Thanks.

No promises but they are both gp104s so that makes it a lot more likely

So worst case the block just wont sit right?

That's my best guess, but I'm not an expert. Keep some paste handy and just reinstall the stock cooler if it doesn't seem right when you take the top off

For anyone else who may wonder the same thing, it worked out pretty good. easy and zero complications!
