Will the Pci-e 3.0 card MSI N750ti-2GD5TLP GeForce GTX 750 Ti 2GB 128-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3 be used in the AsRock H67M motherboard's pci-e x16 slot with an Intel i5-2500k CPU (onboard graphics)?

I need a low profile graphics card for my system in order to be able to play Project CARS and hopefully "No Man's Sky"

Given that my present build was designed to be a multi-media pc, would it be worth upgrading my motherboard to a newer model that has the requisite pci express 3.0 slot? Also, I have read different answers regarding the i5-2500k's ability to work with a pci express 3.0 card!
