[SOLVED] PCI card shield touches GPU backplate, could something bad happen?

Hi,
I've bought a WiFi card / wlan and the back of it touches my GPU backplate. I have to push it just a bit, not hard for it to align, and this makes my GPU back moves like a millimeter up (I guess it goes more straight since there's more force on the front).
Would the metal parts touching cause any problems?

Wouldn't expect any problems. I'd be shocked if you were truly looking at metal on metal? Most GPU backplates are not metal, and most Wifi cards are either a bare PCB or have a plastic shroud?

The GPU backplate and the bracket/mount of the wireless card that are touching will both be grounded, meaning they'll both be at the same voltage (~0V). Should be fine.

The WiFi card part that touches are actual the back part, where you screw to the case, not any component. Also the backplate seems metal too. It's a xfx gts Rx 580 if it matters

Oh, from the bracket! Sorry, I wasn't fully understanding.
No, that's not a concern - as TJ mentioned, they're grounded via the PSU/Case.

As for the backplate, while it might be metal (a lot are plastic, but if it feels metal, then it's probably metal), it's not bare metal, it's coated.

What if my PSU isn't grounded? Wall plugs in my house have only 2 pins, the middle one isn't present. I know it's bad but would it be worse in this particular case?

That's not ideal, but doesn't matter in this situation.
