So newegg had a sale of gtx 480s for 200 bucks and lucky me I got one before they sold out. I have no idea if they are refurbished or what but it didn't say anything.
It will be in a NZXT Phantom with 1 140 intake, 2 120 side intake (near hd), 2 200mm out at the top and 1 120 out in the rear. I just don't have the money/experience to add a block or even aftermarket cooler so I was wondering if a PCI Fan would help at all (Yes PCI Fan lol)

Would something like that actually help? I wish they didn't have freaking lights.. goddamm.

I would try your GTX480 by itself first.

Your case has good enough cooling.

Graphics cards do run hot, but they are designed to do so. Perhaps up to 100c.

Cooling comes not from blowing air onto the components, but getting the hot air out of the case so cool air can come in.

I have a nh-d14 so a 200m fan will not fit on the side unless I buy this 30 dollar one that is thinner(200x200x20). I think those pci fans blow air out the case sucking the heat from the heatsink if I place it under or I could be mistaken.

Splendid

I agree with Spentshells, the pci cards usually interfere with the gpu's fan, only the small blower style ones that dont reach the gpu fan might be ok.
