PCI-e 2.0 x16 Support?

So I have ASRock FM2A68M-DG3+ and I was about to buy Video Card but I got so confused
As ASRock's Website says for this motherboard

it supports PCI-E 3.0 x16 for FM2+ Socket but my CPU is FM2 so its says that it support only PCI-E 2.0 but I want to ask PCI-E 2.0 x1 or x16?

Because I want to have Video Card as I said above! Thanks for help

You will be able to run it, but at PCIe 2.0 speeds, since the cpu doesnt support that mobo feature. Though, the difference isnt that quite noticable overall.

Yea I know that issue idea was can I put PCI-E 2 x16 Video Card there without saying BOOM or any other bad things

it still goes into the top pcie 3.0 slot but graphics cards are backward compatable meaning weather you get a pcie 3.0 or 2.0 graphics card both will work they will just run at 2.0 speeds however that really isnt much of an issue as the speeds are about as good. if that answers your question dont forget to pick best answer
