PCI-E cable too short?

Hi everyone, first time poster. Apologies if this question has already been asked but I've looked everywhere and I don't think it has so I'll just go ahead.
Currently building a PC and trying to connect my Strix GTX 950 to my CX550M PSU but the PCI-E/Type4 cable that came with the PSU is too short to connect the graphics card (via both PCI-E connectors) to 6+2 PCI-E/4+4 CPU, it physically won't stretch that far. However, the Type4 connector on the same cable is of sufficient length to connect the graphics card to that same connector on the PSU, is this safe to do so or does the connection have to be strictly 6 pin PCI-E

If my description is not very clear I can include pictures

Thanks in advance

Solution
So, you'd connect the PCI-E/Type4 cable to the graphics card. It's long enough to connect the type4 labeled end to power supply and the other end to the graphics card.
Now, can you post a picture of the CPU labeled cable?

Yeah, this first picture is the PCI-E/Type4 cable mentioned. Its all one cable, from left to right its a 6+2 PCI+E - Another 6+2 PCI-E - Type4 Connector. Each one is labelled if you can see:

Second image is of the 6+2 PCI-E and 4+4 CPU connector on the PSU, the peripheral & SATA connectors are also pictured but arent relevant. Just to show that there are no other applicable slots for the PCI-E/Type4 cable.

Last two images are to show the distance between the graphics card and the PSU and to show that the cable between the two PCI-E connectors is too short to connect the graphics card and PSU from PCI-E to PCI-E but the Type4 connector clearly can reach the 6+2 PCI-E/4+4 CPU slot.

So yeah, question is since the PCI-E/Type4 cable pictured is all one cable, and the cable between the two PCI-E connectors is too short, is the Type4 connector an option to power the graphics card? Or do I need to look around for a longer PCI-E to PCI-E cable? I should also add (which should be clear from one of the pictures) The Type4 connector on the PCI-E cable mentioned can only possibly fit in the PCI-E/CPU slot on the PSU so thats only the real option I have at this moment without looking around for a longer PCI-E cable

Thanks for the reply, that helps :) Now, the thing about the CPU cable is that it came built into the PSU. It's actually the thinner braided wire in one of the pictures (the other being the 24 pin ATX) so why there's another CPU slot on the PSU is interesting but you've answered the question all the same, Thanks!
