My GPU blocks my tiny PCI-E slot beneath the GPU slot that I am needing to install a USB 3.0 card into..

Said Mother board: https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/P45_Neo3FR_PCB_1.0.html#hero-specification

Said GPU: https://us.hardware.info/product/128548/gigabyte-gv-n580ud-3gi/specifications

Is there a work around some how?
Maybe recommend a cheepie low profile GPU I can get that will leave room for this PCI-E USB 3.0 card?

This machine does not need a fast GPU.. It is a Plex, IP Security Camera, and FTP server.

This M/B does not have onboard video..

I looked around for a regular PCI (white) slot USB card and cannot find any.. This PCI-E usb 3.0 card was only like 10 bucks..
Any idea where I could get a stand PCI USB card equally priced.. LINK
Or a link to a cheepie GPU that will work in above M/B..?

:)

To me it looks like your only option is to switch out the GPU for a single slot card. Maybe a second hand Quadro NVS, should consume less power and run fine on a 24/7 mini-server-like build?

Here is the PCI-E USB 3.0 card and another old timer card I had tht is even older than the GPU I need to replace.

The card in the last picture is definitely an old-timer have one myself it's an AGP slot card so that won't fit on your board. Is USB3 necessary? I see your board has many PCI slots and there are alot of USB2 cards you could use. PCI slots do not have enough speed/bandwith for USB3. I do not have any experience with ebay but I guess you could search for Quadro NVS 290 / 295 and check the pricepoints? Or maybe an Quadro FX580?

I have boxes of old "crap" out there I guess could look thru. The AGP card was on top.. Maybe I have one? LOL
If I can sort thru all the years worth of damn wire knots, maybe I can find a GPU buried in there somewhere...

I was unaware PCI could NOT handle 3.0 USB.. Hmm..
That PC has umm, like 12tb of hard drives plugged into it for Plex "stuff" that feeds all our TVs and devices.. Plus a couple family members in other states that love it.. Its my old machine before I built this new ASUS SSD SLI system I LOVE!
I threw all the storage to that Plex PC since I reboot often and it pisses mom off if her shows get cut off. rofl
I moved a Phatom 4tb USb 3.o drive to that PC and it is soo slow copying things to it.. I have a gigabit LAN and usb 2.0 is just way slow for my patience..

So.. Link me to a cheepie "THIN-LIKE" PCI Express 2.0 x16 video card? :)

Oh lol srry it looked like DVI but its DMS59 but there are always converter cables. A Quadro FX1800 has 2 displayports and DVI. There are many Quadro cards those where just examples. Single slot quadros are usually cheap second hand, assuming you do need the gpu for display only not gaming or something.

I've got an old HIS Radeon HD 4650 that I'd be willing to part with
