pci e for graphics card

i m very much confused about the power supply to the graphics card.
my graphics card is evga geforce gtx 960
model id :02G-P4-2966-KR
it says power type 8pin
n power phase 6+2
can u explain wat kind of connection of power supply do i need to do.
n d psu does it need to huv a 8pin pci e,or sumthg else...
please clear my doubts..

No, the "6 + 2" refers to the power phase design of the card, I think. It refers to the voltage regulation system in the card. Not a spec you really need to know in most cases.
