PCI-e interface/speed

a recent thread on pci-e lanes for graphics cards made me think of this..........a while back "Toms" did a write up on the differences in speed between sata2 and sata3 ( or sata1 and 2 don't remember )......... with the rush of PCI-e SSD's coming to market and on the market how's about a review on PCI-e 1.0/2.0/3.0 and whether or not data transfer is faster on one vs the other.. ??........... and if you do, please include real world apps.

sata3 is 6 Gbit/s
PCIe 2.0 X16 is 2Gbit per channel... so 32Gbit/s.

that pretty much sums it up.... i dont see much real world difference coming unless SSDs get even faster

most of the pci-e cards coming out are raided on the pcb.

but this isn't a question inre to SATA connections. it's all about pci-e..............................

on a side.............one of them even has a usb 3.0 for an internal connector........... figure that one out.
