PCI-E Lanes Explained?

Hey i am pretty new to PC building and recently heard of PCIE lanes being a stress on a system if you plan to have more GPU's installed with future upgrades

Can somebody quickly and concisely explain if i am being a hypochondriac and worrying for no apparent reason or if it is a genuine possible problem

My PC Spec
CPU : I7 9700K (Havent overclocked at all)
MOB : Asus Prime Z370-P II
Case : (Doesnt matter)
GPU : Zotac 1070Ti
PSU : EVGA 600W Bronze
RAM : 16GB Corsair Vengance (2x8)
STR : Seagate Firecuda 2TB SSHD

No reason to worry , your setup isn't under stress.

But it should have a decent PSU.

Ok thanks man, and i was running out of budget toward the end or i would have gone with a minimum gold PSU

Not so sure if i need the overkill of plat or titanium

EVGA G2 or G3 , Corsair RMx , Seasonic Focus Gold...are some options to look into.
