Hey everyone,

So I am new to tom's hardware and I have a question. So I am building my first pc and I am having trouble with the pci-e cables. I have two random pci-e cables hanging out of my pc and the pc turns on and everything with them off but I just cannot get a signal on my pc. I have a geforce gtx 1050ti graphics card, a corsair cx600, and a h110m-e/m.2 motherboard.

Thanks,
Luis

Solution
PCI express cables shouldn't be necessary for a 1050ti.

Ensure

1. You have the 4 pin atx power cable plugged in top left of CPU.

2. You're using the video output port on the 1050ti itself & not the mb video outs on the main backplate.

Yes I have the 4-pin plugged in and I am using and i am using the video outport from the graphics card

I have not but if i do try it without the graphics card, where would i plug in the pci-e cables?

I just tried it and it did not work.

Yes, but what particular brand & model GeForce GTX 1050ti? There are dozens.
Should be easy enough to look at your card and see if it has the 6-pin connector.
