PCI-e slot, is it even worth crossfire?

I currently have a single HD7850 occupying the only PCI-e x16 slot on my motherboard, the second slot is x16 length but only runs at x4 mode, is it even worth crossfiring on this board, or will it be bottlenecked beyond belief

motherboard is a B75 pro-3M

im going to choose to not answer the power supply question and say that i will get a 750w corsair before crossfiring

I put 7850s in crossfire on my system and I had it running at PCI-e 3.0 4x and PCI-e x16 x4 and the performance was crap, trust me DO NOT make this mistake like I did.

Yeah its not worth the performance boost. You'd be better off saving your money and investing it elsewhere such as a SSD or something your system will appreciate.

thanks guys, ill probably just save for the next generation of graphics cards and get something really nice, or a sound card

i already have an SSD but thanks for the tip JJ
