I can get a 128GB SSD for around £20 and a PCI-E SSD for about £60. Is there a significant difference in OS usage speed and boot times of OS between the 2?

Solution
Not sure the motherboard you are using or the SSDs in question. For just a boot drive I don't see the advantage of going PCI-E. A normal Sata3 SSD should cut your boot time to 8-12 seconds.

1. This depends a LOT on the motherboard. Can it use the PCI-E drive natively, without an adapter?
2. Can it boot from that?
3. 120GB is, IMHO, too small.
4. 120GB for £20? That is either used or crap.

1. Yep you may have less or more options depending on the motherboard.
2. As a normal 2.5" SATA3 it should be fine, however the PCI-E as a boot depends on the motherboard.
3. If you check O/S sizes 120GB should be fine, but I agree when I used a 120GB for a boot I ended up putting more and more until it was a pain. I'd go with a 250GB minimum.
4. He's right that price seems too good to be true. Do you know why it is so cheap?
