Ok nevermind I got it to actually fit and snap in, guess i didn't try to push hard enough. Sorry for everything. One last problem, my monitor cable doesn't actually fit into the graphics card

Do I need an adapter or something and where do they sell them at and what's it called.etc

Looks like you have a vga connector coming from your monitor. So you'd need a VGA to X adapter, where X is one of the connectors on your graphics card (looks like dvi-d, HDMI, and display port). They'd probably sell them on Amazon and many electronics stores.

Maybe I should have started by asking: what connections (other than VGA) does your monitor have? You linked a DVI-D to HDMI adapter, does your monitor have one of those?

The reason I said it needs to be active is that all the 1050 Ti's outputs are digital, so you'd need an active adapter to convert it to analog VGA (which is the only connection I currently know your monitor has).

Ha, I guess I got caught up with the issue of whether or not the OP could put the card in that PC, I forgot to consider if they should.

From the initial post it sounds like they're planning on buying a better PC once they have the cash and then moving this card to that machine, so maybe sticking this card in the current rig is an OK idea for now.

Yeah, he should and probably is planning to upgrade. However, what he should upgrade to, is a difficult question.

I would also love to see how that 1050ti performs with that core 2 duo. But the OP hasn't said anything else about his computer. For all we know, he could still have windows XP on that computer.

it's windows 10. And I don't have any other cables other than the VGA connected to my Monitor. So Should I get what the guy with the Intel PFP says to get?

I said something like that, not necessarily that one in particular. And then I up-voted XM Keeper's post where he linked that adapter, indicating I agreed with them. And then when you asked if you should get the one they linked, you didn't wait for a response.

If you've already bought the other one that's fine though, it should still work just as well.

One isn't necessarily better than the other, it depends on what you're converting. For example, if you're converting between an analog and digital signal, you need an active converter. If you're converting between two analog signals, a passive adapter may work just fine.
