I was choosing parts for a computer on pcpartpicker and for the graphics card I chose a Rx 470 but the website said 1 additional PCI-Express 8-pin power connector is needed, what does that mean and what is it?
In the image above, there are two power connectors for the graphics card. On the left is the PCI-E 8-Pin (or 6+2 pin) and on the right is the PCI-E 6-pin. If PC Part Picker is telling you the graphics card requires a PCI-E 8 (6+2) pin PCI-E Power connector, then it means the power supply you have selected does not come with the required power cable and it will not power your computer/graphics card properly.
[strike]Based on the specs for your power supply, it appears it does not have a PCI-E power cable (hence the warning from PC Part Picker). You'll need to go with a different power supply. The CMX from Corsair, that madmatt30 suggests seems to be a reliable unit.[/strike]

Edit: Apologies. On second glance, the specs page shows that the power supply has a modular PCI-E power cable but not a fixed PCI-E power cable.
Looks like pcpartpicker is wrong.
PSU specs says, that it has PCI-E 6+2pin modular cable.
And GPU specs says, that it needs one 8-Pin PCI Express Power Connector.
So - no incompatibilities.
