There is a PCI Express Native Power Management in BIOS. Is this essentially the same setting in Windows for link state power management for the PCI Express?

What will be the difference if I disable the express native power management in bios?

If you disable NPM in BIOS, then you won't be able to use the PCI link state power feature in Windows OS.

When NPM is enabled, the computer’s PCI Express bus will automatically power down when not in use, which can save power. However, some devices may not work correctly when NPM is enabled, so it may need to be disabled in order for those devices to work properly.

PCI Express Native Power Management (NPM) allows devices to enter a low power state when not in use, and allows the system to dynamically manage power consumption.

NPM is available on all PCI Express devices, and is transparent to the operating system. The system BIOS will control it, and can be configured to suit the needs of the system. NPM can be either used to reduce power consumption in a system, or to increase system performance.
