I have a problem.
I have 6 HDDs and needed more sata ports for my DVD-RW and HDD Rack that is built in the case. So I bought this
Newmb Technology Co. PCIE SATA3 N-PESATA3 Controller
I put the card in the free PCIe x1 slot and rearranged the jumpers to connect the internal connectors (instead of external), and connected the DVD and HDD dock.
I booted up the PC and the DVD lit up and HDD connected to the dock started to spin, but neither were detected in Win 10 Pro. I tried restarting, pulling out HDD and putting it back but it changed nothing. In device manager I found 4 " something something ACHI controllers" but I am not sure if it is the same thing.
To summarize I have an ASUS strix B450 board with 6 HDDs connected to it (working fine) and tried to add a PCIe sata controller to connect my HDD rack and DVD but saw nothing in Win 10.
