Pci express x1 expansion

I want to use a wifi card and a usb 3.0 card (both pci express x1) But my asrock mother only has 1 1x slot. Not two. Is there a way to use both cards at the same time? My x16 is used by a gpu. My motherboard is H61M-HVS. I've heard wifi over usb sucks but if i can't use both cards at the same time, can anyone recommend me a good wifi usb dongle?

WIFI in general sucks for desktop computers. Have you tried (and failed) with powerline network adapters? They will usually be better than WIFI.
