PCI Express X8 VS X16

Hello,
What performance hit is there between a PCI Express X16 slot running in X8 versus X16? The MB is set to X8 due to crossfire setup originally (Dell XPS 630I) and I have a single GTX460 card now. Just wondering how much performance I'm losing on that slot.
