I have a mobo that has no AGP slot (see if I buy cheap [-peep-] again). The onboard AGP chip doesn't have OpenGL drivers for Q3A. I went to get an MX to throw in there, but then I realized there are no AGP slots. Where might I obtain a good PCI based video card? Just to let you know, I am an NVidiot.

Wow, you posted almost the same question as I did at almost the same time. Watch my thread for answers to your question as well.

Forget about an nvidia pci card, don't count the PCI MX. Hunt around for a Voodoo 5- they are getting cheap and are really turboed PCI cards. Don't whinge about future driver support, because the card has always had the most reliable drivers around.

Try searching www.pricewatch.com.

If you want a Geforce MX use keywords; geforce mx pci.

For a Voodoo5, keywords; voodoo5 pci

and for the upcoming Radeon PCI SDR (eta 3/9/2001), keywords; radeon pci. (Watchout for Radeon for Macintosh which can also come in PCI flavor).
