I was going to buy a Gigabyte LGA1151 Intel H110 for my modest gaming build. I have an R9 290 that i want to put in it. Checking intels site it says the H110 is PCI revision 2.0 not 3.0 and runs at 6 lanes? however the GIGABYTE website specs say "1 x PCI Express x16 slot, running at x16 (PCIEX16) (The PCI Express x16 slot conforms to PCI Express 3.0 standard.)"
This all has me a bit confused. To my understanding of this all H110s are PCIe 2.0 running at 6x speeds correct? or have motherboard manufactures "customized" them to be PCI 3.0 16x?
Any help would be appreciated.
