I am wondering if this would be a good upgrade. Right now, I have this PCI network adapter in my computer right now.

(I bought it off a friend for $20)
It seems it only allows me to get 50mbps when my internet is capable of doing 90mbps.

Would this be better for me?

I am just trying to get the most out of my internet. If I use a cable, I am capable of getting 90mbps. If you have any other options that will suite me, I will definitely check them out.

Solution
I doubt changing to a different wifi card model will fix the speed issue as they are all capable of at least 300 mbps, well above your 90 mbps.

First I would visit D-Link's website and update to the latest driver for your existing card. I know from experience that an out-of-date network driver can affect it's bandwidth performance which equates to less than expected download speed.
