Not sure where you're going with this, but you don't spend $2500 on just the motherboard.

Currently have systems in place that use a PCI card. We need to update the system to a faster PC. Looking for a mobo that has a PCI slot and some PCIe slots. If we have to replace the PCI card with a PCIe version it will cost $2500 for the new card. If I can use the old PCI card, I save having to spend $2500.
