Pci slot blocking

so iwas thinkiing of buying an asus hd 7770 directcu top my motherboard ia gigabyte h61m s2p not the b3 version the pcie slot is right next to the pci slot the pci slot is taller than the pci exprees so im afraid that the card cooler maybe blocked by the pci slot can the the card be blocked ?

hello.. yes your new video card should fit over that PCI slot... pretty standard that double slot card will now block the use of your pci slot... move any cards inserted there over.

Yes iron is correct. The new double wide video card will take up both slots and it will sit about 1/8th inch above that extra pci slot.
