PCI Soundcard extension cable

Been having a look about and there does seem to be some PCI extension cables but I'm still a tad unclear. Problem is my GPU cooler blocks both PCI slots for the soundcards etc below the GPU itself, but there is a tiny bit of room for something to plug in (extension cable) that will allow me to bring the soundcard away from it. So I was just wondering if anyone could recommend an extension cable of some sort? What kind of specs have to relate over the motherboard etc?
