My mobo has a spare PCI slot (not pcie) so I thought I'd get an expansion card for it. I bought a 5 USB 3 Firewire card. However, the driver CD does nothing at all and the ports are non functional. There's a screenshot of what shows in my device manager. I've done all the standard stuff (update driver software, googled forever etc) and nothing works. Has anyone had any experience with cards like this?
Thanks,
Will

Solution
First of all,
If you pull the 5 port usb 3 pci card out of your system you will see the via controller chip on the board.
It will have the chip set model number.

Use this in a google search for the driver for the card.

Via usb 3.0 VT45001 driver for windows 10 64 bit. as an example.
