Greetings,
So I recently started picking out the parts for my first custom-built computer, using Tom's December $500 Gaming Build as a starting point. Here's a list of the components I've picked out thus far...

Case - Rosewill REDBONE U3 Black SECC Steel USB 3.0, eSATA, 3x 120mm Fans Mid Tower

Motherboard - ASRock B75M-DGS LGA 1155 Intel B75 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 Micro ATX Intel Motherboard

RAM - G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800)

CPU - Intel Core i3-3220 Ivy Bridge 3.3GHz LGA 1155 55W Dual-Core

Graphics Card - PowerColor AX7850 2GBD5-DH Radeon HD 7850 2GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Video Card

Now, the graphics card is a PCIe 3.0 x16 and from the information I've read at cpu-world.com, the CPU's "On-chip Peripherals" have "PCI express 2.0 interface" listed. What will the effects of running a this PCIe 3.0 x16 card be with this 2.0 CPU?
