Hi All!

I'd like to change my old config:

-Intel Core i3 3240 CPU
-Asrock H77 Pro4-M motherboard
- 4 GB DDR3 RAM
-GeForce GTX 750 GPU

Usually, I dont use it so much time, so I dont want to spend too much money. I found some chep parts:

- AMD FX-8370 Octa-Core 4Ghz AM3+ CPU
- Asrock 970 Pro3 R2.0 motherboard
- 16 GB DDR3 RAM
- GPU wont be changed

I have 2 questions:

-What are you think about the new config? (I'd like to play games as the new wolfeinstein)
-This motherboard only contains PCIe 2.0. How it will influence the performance of the GPU?

Many thanks in advance!

I would bother spending money on that platform even though you are getting a great deal. The main reason is because I think you should invest in a better GPU and CPU.

1. For starters, you need to upgrade that ram. I recommend getting the 16GB!

2. For the processor you can either get the I7 3770K or the I5 2600K.

3. With either upgrade you will need a CPU cooler. Hyper 212 is very popular. You'll want to overclock those K processors.

4. RX 480 8GB is cheap at the moment. $119 on Ebay lightly used or refurbished.
Lastly I would sell your old hardware.
