PCIe 3 on 1st gen 1155 board with intel 3xxx CPU?

I'm planning on getting Intel 1155 motherboard and the i5 3470 CPU. Provided that the motherboard will take the CPU how will my PCIE lanes work? Since 3xxx series of intel CPUs are the first gen to support pcie 3 standard, is that enough for my system to have price 3 speed?

Specifically, will this board have pcie 3 if paired with an Intel i5 3xxx?

that's a 6 series board so PCI-E 2.0 only, even though the CPU can deliver 3.0, the chipset can't.

You won't see a difference even with a high end card. Maybe with a GTX 1080. I used this 980 Ti with a 2600K and a P67 board for almost 8 months before I upgraded to Skylake. The 980 Ti wasn't bottlenecked by the PCI-E 2.0 interface.

If you really want to have PCIe 3.0 even though it offers no noticable performance difference over PCIe 2.0 you'll need an IvyBridge processor and a 70-series motherboard.
