[SOLVED] Pcie 4x -> 16x slot

Quick question.
I know plugging a 4x interface into a 16x slot will work perfectly fine but will the card still run at full speed in this configuration?
I can't imagine why it wouldn't I just want to make sure
Maybe there are some extra processing steps required if you do this that can increase lag? Idk, just checking

a x4 card will still run at x4 on a x16 slot
